Chrysalis

Cutting open a chrysalis apparently kills the butterfly inside. Struggle is part of the process of developing new capabilities.

It looked like this particular butterfly had been left behind. Yet suddenly the cocoon burst open. After some wiggling, the butterfly broke free, spread its wings and left its chrysalis behind for good.

I am aiming to make environment-friendly choices in my whole production process, so I have chosen a carbon neutral printing company with printing facilities in the UK, EU and US for my prints. Whilst the company offers professional photographic paper to print on, I prefer to do all my prints on Hahnemühle Bamboo due to the paper’s longevity and environmental credentials.

2 print sizes are available: 20cm x 20cm (8” x 8”) or 30cm x 30cm (12” x 12”). This includes a border of 1.5 cm (0.6”).
