Origin

The “Origin” print is based on my first large scale painting (90cm x 90cm).  Art tutors had always encouraged me to work big, and upcycling a canvas found in a local charity shop made the size less intimidating. Apart from shattered safety glass, I found a use for eco undercoat paint, millet husks, silk threads left over from sari production, mineral sunscreen and facial powder and other found items.

I am aiming to make environment-friendly choices in my whole production process, so I use a carbon neutral printing company with printing facilities in the UK, EU and US for my prints. I print my work on Hahnemühle Bamboo due to the paper’s longevity and environmental credentials.

The print is currently made available in 3 sizes: 20cm x 20cm (8” x 8”), 30cm x 30cm (12” x 12”) and 50cm x 50cm (16” x 16”). This includes a border of 1.5 cm (0.6”) for the small and medium prints and 2.5cm (1”) for largest print.

Larger sizes available upon request. Largest size that can be printed in 100cm x 100cm (39” x 39”).
